Fundraising Roadmap

Milestone 1: Secure the Location ($20,000)

Our first goal is to secure the Downtown Pittsburgh space we’re actively pursuing: 810 Penn Ave (across from the new park opening in the spring).

This milestone funds the lease and setup essentials, including fees, insurance, and the up-front costs to get the cafe buildout started. The rate is $10.50/sqft/year, and the lease includes 8 months of free rent while we build.

The space has a large indoor atrium and enough room for both the tech side (workshops, labs, learning) and the cat cafe (adoption + enrichment).

Milestone 2: Buildout + Setup ($50,000–$100,000)

The second phase is the full buildout of the cafe + tech hub. The final cost depends on how much hardware and supplies we can get donated vs. what we need to buy.

This covers essentials like construction and finishes, cat habitat and sanitation infrastructure, networking and security, workstations and workshop gear, seating, and community space setup.

Rescue Support: Puerto Rico Services

Donations also help us stand up the first few rescue support services in Puerto Rico by funding early operations, tools, and resources for local rescuers.

The goal is practical impact: supplies, coordination, and technology support that helps rescues move faster and save more animals.
